Some of you asked me recently if there was any way to protect ourselves from the good neighbours. Good news, gentle reader, there is!
1. You can wear your clothes inside out.
2. You can wear iron or silver.
3. You can carry rowan, holly or ash. (I have holly berries in my pockets)
4. You can nail a horseshoe to your door upside down.
Personally, I wear iron bracelets and keep holly in my pockets. I also wear my socks inside out. Of course, none of this will stop you from seeing the fair folk, but it will keep them from harming you.
